Over the past decade, cryoEM has transformed structure-based drug design, unlocking new targets, enabling rational design of increasingly complex modalities and characterization of new delivery vehicles. Bolstered by new AI-powered capabilities for date ingestion at scale and in silico design, demand for structural data is increasing year on year. Here we will survey the current status of structural biology and discuss areas of innovation essential to keep pace with today’s acceleration pace of discovery.
